Environdata Weather Sensors
Environdata designs and manufactures more than 20 high quality weather sensors.
These sensors are perfect for connecting to our Weather Maestro or WeatherMate data loggers or straight into your data logger, control system, PLC, BMS or RTU. Environdata sensors include:
- Wind speed sensors
- Wind direction sensors
- Rainfall sensors
- Air Temperature Sensors
- Grass, Soil, and Water Temperature sensors
- Relative Humidity Sensors
- Barometric Pressure Sensors
- Leaf Wetness Sensors
- Solar Radiation, PAR & UV Radiation Sensors
Our sensors use a unique digital pulse technology, ensuring reliable signals over cable lengths up to several hundred metres.
Each sensor is individually calibrated, allowing the same model sensor to be a plug-in replacement, without any on-site adjustment or reprogramming needed.
We can also supply sensors with industry standard 4-20mA output or voltage output convertors, along with signal conditioners and sensor alarms. This means you can easily use these sensors in your existing system.
Sensor Alarm (SA12)
Environdata's SA12 Sensor Alarm is a low power microprocessor based device that provides an alarm output (relay contact or FET) based on the sensor or voltage input. The sensor alarm is suitable for Environdata weather sensors, or other environmental sensors.

Humidity Sensor
The RH40 series relative humidity sensor features a field interchangeable tip that requires no field re-calibration. State-of-the-art semiconductor technology is employed, together with a thin film polymer that changes di-electric constant with atmospheric relative humidity.

Wind Direction Sensor
The WD series Wind Direction Sensors are sensitive wind direction indicators that give a variable pulse rate output and a visual indication of wind direction. The vane, arm and pointer turn the main spindle, which is support by two low friction stainless steel bearings. A special universal coupling provides a positive connection with the sensing transducer ensuring reliable and trouble free operation.

Wind Speed Sensor
The WS series Wind Speed Sensor uses a sensitive 3-cup anemometer to measure wind speed and wind run. Three conical shaped aluminium cups of optimum proportions turn the main spindle. The spindle is supported by two special low torque, stainless steel low-friction bearings. The body of the sensor is symmetrical and well clear of the three rotating cups, helps to minimise interfering eddies.

Ultra Violet Radiation Sensor
The UV10 Series Ultra Violet Radiation Sensor uses a silicon-gallium-arsenide-phosphorous photovoltiac cell, mounted with an integral filter. This provides a standardised reading equivalent to the radiation falling on a non-reflective surface.

Wet and Dry Humidity Sensor
The TA10 series temperature sensors are electronic sensors designed to measure air temperature. Two sensors can be used to measure air temperatureand relative humidity using the wet and dry bulb method. Improved design provides for faster and more accurate temperature sensing. Temperature stability of the new design allows realistic temperature measurement accuracy's of ± 0.2°C over the range.
